Tracksters honored at end of season

    HHS track and field participants were honored for their effort during the spring season at an awards program Monday, May 21, in the HHS auditorium.
    Coach Corey Koberstein presented the awards, acknowledging sophomore Taeryn Trumper and freshman Aaron Sierra for being honored as All-Conference selections for the season.
    All-Conference picks were based on the first-place finishers at the league meet. Trumper was recognized for the long jump, 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, while Sierra earned All-Conference for his finish in the hurdles.
    Additionally, Koberstein recognized state placewinners Taeryn Trumper and Luis Chafino, as well as other state qualifiers Taylor Trumper, Emali Torres, Jacky Mosqueda, Josie Herman, Ashley Rahe, Emma Roll, and relay alternates Kylie Purkeypile and Yeidi Juarez.
    Letterwinners for the 2018 track season include seniors Grace Dille, Anthony Beltran and Jarrett Woodhead; juniors Yennifer Espinal, Jillian Hunter, Jacky Mosqueda, Jessy Mosqueda, Roll and Chase Beckner.
    Also sophomores Lauren Bergner, Herman, manager Emily Jelden, Victoria Race, Taeryn Trumper, Shianne Willmon, Chafino, Michael Ramos and Miguel Soto; and freshmen Juarez, Rylee Oakley, Purkeypile, Rahe, Torres, Taylor Trumper, Joey Beckner, Jalen Hunter, Sierra and Alec Sprague.
