Wrestlers focus on fundamentals in Wray

Dragon wrestlers competed at the Bob Smith Invite in Wray on Saturday, Dec. 18, where they continued to hone their techniques and work on wrestling fundamentals.

Coach Broc Pelle said the team had a tough showing in Wray and only took three wrestlers as the team is battling some injuries.

Tyson Mosenteen is currently out with an injured shoulder, and Hunter Vermeulen is out with a hand injury.

Last Saturday, Simon Krueger competed in the 152-lb. weight class, Ben Kleve at 160 lbs. and Sam Trusty at 170 lbs. Wray won the tournament, followed by Limon and Akron.

Pelle pointed to the fact that Wray was Krueger’s first tournament, which provided him with good experience.
