Wrestlers head to regional tourney

“All the tournaments and duals this season have just been practice for this week,” said HHS wrestling coach Dusty McConnell as the team prepares for regionals Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10-11, at NJC in Sterling.
Their last regular-season outing, a Feb. 2 dual with Wray, was canceled due to the amount of illness seen in the district last week.
Working with a very young team, McConnell said he hopes to see team members qualify for state this weekend. Regardless, he sees them getting stronger from here on out during their high school careers.
