Wrestling season ends at regionals
Holyoke’s wrestling season ended at the regional tournament at Akron last Friday and Saturday, March 5-6.
It was a short season this year, starting in late January, and coach Dusty McConnell has said all along that the team just didn’t have lead-in time to practice and prepare. They went straight into competition.
McConnell said they could have seen different results with some tournament action rather than all duals and with more lead-in time in the season. However, he said the kids involved gained some good learning experience.
