Young team eager to learn

A young wrestling team looks forward to opening the 2021-22 season this Saturday, Dec. 4, at the St. Francis Tournament in Kansas.

While the team is young, coach Broc Pelle said they are kids who are willing to bring a lot to the program. “Everyone is eager to learn,” he added.

He sees lots of potential in the young wrestlers even though there’s not a lot of experience in the room at this point.

Team members include seniors Samuel Trusty and Johny Quintana; juniors Simon Krueger, Adrian Moreno and Victor Dominguez; sophomore Tyson Mosenteen; and freshmen Hunter Vermeulen, Ben Kleve and Miguel Roberto.

Pelle noted that one of the main goals for the season is for the wrestling program to be a building block and to lead to success.
