Yuma boys headed to 2A state

    Among high school boys basketball, Yuma is the only team in the district to make it to the 2A state tournament Thursday-Saturday, March 8-10.
    In regional competition last weekend, Yuma beat Swallows Charter Academy 67-33 in the first round and went on to beat Evangelical Christian 59-31 Saturday. Sedgwick County beat Rocky Ford 59-45 Friday, but fell to Sanford 42-39 the next day.
    Haxtun was knocked out of the running in the first round with a 56-52 loss to Fowler. Akron also lost their first game, 60-52 to Calhan.
