Holyoke vs. Yuma
The Yuma girls showed up to the Dragon gym last Friday with some tough competition for the Holyoke varsity team, proving why they have one of the top spots in the state.
HHS lost in three sets, 15-25, 10-25 and 17-25.
The last game was the best for the Dragons, as they showed they could keep up with Yuma’s pace midway through the set.
“They’re a tough team,” said coach Hannah Petersen. “It’s a good learning game.”
She said the girls need to work on being positive and letting go of their mistakes to move on to the next rally.
Petersen commended the girls for some tremendous digs, noting every girl knew their responsibilities in the back row.
