The home of C.M. Mowry in Holyoke is pictured on a postcard that was addressed to Mr. R.N. White at Augustana Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 1908. C.M Mowry Hardware and O. Canaday Mercantile Co. stood at the northwest corner of Denver Street and Interocean Avenue. An advertisement in the Nov. 23, 1894, edition of The State Herald said Mowry was a dealer in general hardware, which included tinware of all kinds, specialty goods and a full line of cutlery. — Source: Phillips County Museum
