Phillips County Historical Society’s first museum building was located at 129 W. Furry St. in the former office building of Dr. F.M. Dille, behind what was then the Phillips County Courthouse Annex and is now Dr. Brandt’s office building. The historical society hosted a brand-burning kickoff for their new museum Dec. 8, 1968, inviting Phillips County residents to bring in their branding irons to burn on the decorative wooden border. The society purchased the current museum building at 109 S. Campbell Ave. on Aug. 1, 1974, and it opened Aug. 1, 1975. The old museum building has since been torn down. — Source: Phillips County Museum
