Holyoke hunters on winning One Box Pheasant Hunt team

    Holyoke’s Allen Strong was captain of the first-place new team, Cattlemen’s Brawlers, in this year’s Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt in Broken Bow, Nebraska, earlier this month.

The Sunbeam harmonica band is pictured from the early 1900s. Sunbeam School District #10, organized in 1916, was a one-room, white, wooden-frame building 3 miles south of Haxtun. The school was closed in 1949, and the students then went to Haxtun. The Sunbeam school building was sold in 1954 and was moved south of Haxtun and was used for storage. — Source: Phillips County Museum
