“We’re finally here.” After years of dreaming and planning, the Holyoke Community Childcare Initiative is ready to get to work on a much-needed child care center in Holyoke.
As demonstrated by Julia Schroetlin with a bright yellow hula hoop given out by Black Hills Energy, the Aug. 6 National Night Out was nothing but fun. Holyoke Police Department organized the second annual event to bring together law enforcement and community members in an old-fashioned block party.
