Seventh grader Marcelo Chaparro accepts his honor roll certificate from Holyoke JR/SR High School counselor Ashley Clayton on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The Peerless Theatre and Golden Plains Recreation Center board provided qualifying students a free ticket to an age-appropriate movie, a free small popcorn and drink. In all, 175 students qualified. Students on the 4.0 honor roll achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the first semester, those on the superintendent’s honor roll  earned a 3.5-3.99 GPA and those on the principal’s honor roll earned a 3.0-3.49 GPA. — The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications

Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington recently announced its honor roll for the fall 2020 semester. Lauren Bergner of Holyoke was named to the dean’s list.

Colbey Stumpf, at left, is a new social studies teacher at Holyoke JR/SR High School, and Elizabeth Hutches is the long-term substitute teacher taking over Clark Ginapp’s English classes after he passed away. Stumpf, Hutches assume teaching duties at JR/SR high
