Holyoke JH girls basketball finished the 2017 season as back-to-back league champs after defeating Merino 27-16 on the road Tuesday, Feb. 14.

While pink and red were seen throughout the Dragon gym Thursday, Feb. 14, it wasn’t for Valentine’s Day.

HHS JV boys basketball wrapped up its season last week on a strong note, taking back-to-back wins hosting Yuma Tuesday, Feb. 14, and at Wray Friday, Feb. 17.

In regional wrestling action Saturday, Feb. 11, Holyoke junior Antoni Martinez has his Wray opponent on his back. Even though he lost this match, he later earned a match win to advance to the competition for third and fourth place. —Johnson Publications

Jesus Trejo earned 120-lb. regional runner-up honors and Antoni Martinez finished fourth at 195 lbs. to qualify for the 2A State Wrestling Championships Thursday-Saturday, Feb.
