Holyoke girls basketball team climbed to the top of the Colorado 2A rankings with an 11-1 record after two wins over defending state champ Limon and county rival Haxtun last weekend.
Dragon basketball had two road games last week, beating Haxtun 55-51 on Friday, Jan. 21, and falling to Limon 61-50 on Saturday, Jan. 22.
Lady Dragon swimmers were scheduled to compete in a triangular with Estes Park and Valley on Thursday, Jan. 20, but it was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. It will not be rescheduled.

With back-to-back home games last Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15, the Lady Dragon basketball team didn’t disappoint the home crowd, with wins over Wray and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
Summer Martin took first place in the 500-yard freestyle at the Liberty Common Quad on Thursday, Jan. 13, to qualify for 3A state swimming in the event.
