Members of the girls basketball team brought out the award during the gym open house after JR/SR high principal Angela Powell spoke of Baumgartner’s work and dedication. Baumgartner was recognized for all of the hard work he’s done, especially with the challenges this year in which he had to remake sports schedules on multiple occasions and keep up with frequent changes to seasons. FFA members and students in ag classes helped create the award, and Jerry Williamson helped the students with the transfer of signatures of basketball players Baumgartner has coached over the years to the award. — The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications

Community members were invited to take a look at the newly renovated HHS gym at a come and go open house Saturday, April 24. Visitors got to see the new floor, its logos, bleachers and the new scoreboard.
