Two shattered windows at Inklings Bookstore caused by a fallen sign are just some of the aftermath of high winds in the region last week. Holyoke experienced 39-mph winds Wednesday, Jan. 13, with gusts up to 66 mph, followed by an equally windy day Thursday, Jan. 14, according to wunderground.com. In addition to the broken windows, others were dealing with downed power poles, overturned semis, damaged buildings, rural fires and more.
