The photos, taken from the belfry of the old grade school building, show the standpipe at far left (north of where the water tower now stands) all the way over to the site where the high school was to be built (west of the current high school building). The opening of the Londa Wernet Bradford Cancer Center at Melissa Memorial Hospital is celebrated at an open house Wednesday, Oct. 23.
