Jeffers puts a whole lotta love in her bags for trick-or-treaters
Making up for lost years when she lived in the country and had no trick-or-treaters, Holyoke’s Margie Jeffers now calls Halloween her favorite holiday.

This local Brownie troop is pictured by the old grade school building, probably in the late ’40s. Brownies are pictured from left, front row, Beverly Burchett, Martha Mathews, Patty Starbuck, Sharon Kay Sanders, Roberta Briggs and Thelma Wettstein; and back row, Betty Lee Fisbeck, Bette Lou Barth, Peggy Alberts, Loretta Claymon, Thelma Weiss, Retha Hagemann and Pasty Womble. — source: Phillips County Museum
