The Imperial Mayor’s Sixth Annual Poker Run will leave from Imperial, Nebraska, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13 and will include a stop in Holyoke this year.

Two-vehicle accident on Highway 6 claims one life
Several people are shown harvesting turkey red wheat on the Henry Hargreaves farm 5 miles south of Holyoke in 1904. Average yield on this field was 42 bushels per acre. Hargreaves farmed here for 19 years and threshed the crop every year. The Hargreaves homestead has been family-owned since its establishment after Henry Hargreaves filed a preemption claim on the land in 1887.
