Several people are shown harvesting turkey red wheat on the Henry Hargreaves farm 5 miles south of Holyoke in 1904. Average yield on this field was 42 bushels per acre. Hargreaves farmed here for 19 years and threshed the crop every year. The Hargreaves homestead has been family-owned since its establishment after Henry Hargreaves filed a preemption claim on the land in 1887. The property has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 2013. — Source: Phillips County Museum
