
E.A. Stickle’s barn was one of seven that were completely destroyed by a tornado that swept across the north end of the Pleasant Valley community Aug. 6, 1931. A number of windmills were blown down, and telephone lines, crops, hog houses, chicken houses and stock sheds were destroyed.
