In their second week of games this season, Holyoke girls’ jayvee basketball team fell to Brush Friday, Dec. 11 and to Akron Saturday, Dec. 12.

Holyoke JV 26, Brush 54

Hosting the Beetdiggers Friday, the JV team lost 26-54. Brush led in scoring in all but the second quarter where both teams scored four points.

In Dragon stats, Erin Vieselmeyer led in scoring with 10 points followed by KrisAnna Ham with five; Chandler Gerk four; Marissa Chambers, Emily Bradley and Elissa Baker two apiece; and Annie Daniel one.

From the line, Vieselmeyer shot at 100 percent making four out of four free throws.

Holyoke JV 28, Akron 42

Traveling to Akron Saturday, the Lady Dragons suffered a 28-42 loss against the Rams.

Holyoke outscored Akron 7-4 in the last quarter, but it was not enough to challenge the strong lead the Rams had established during the previous three quarters.

High scorer for the Dragons was Vieselmeyer with 11 points followed by Patricia Adams with nine and Gerk and Chambers with four apiece.
