    Holyoke’s boys’ C team took two easy wins over Akron, 31-11, on Dec. 16 and Sedgwick County, 17-10 Dec. 20.

    Akron stood no chance against the Holyoke C team, who earned 14 points in the first quarter while Akron had only seven.
    It would turn out to be Akron’s highest-scoring quarter. The team made only four more points the rest of the game, and remained scoreless in the fourth. Meanwhile, Holyoke tacked on 17 more points to win by 20.
    Tiago Cavalcanti was the top scorer for HHS with 13. Alex Quintana had six, José Goytia five, Shaun Beck four and Sheng Xuezhi three.

Holyoke 17, Sedgwick Co. 10
    Playing only a three-quarter game against Sedgwick County on Saturday, the Dragons and the Cougars made it a close game until the final period. At that point Holyoke held Sedgwick County scoreless, while putting up five additional points to win by seven.
    While they earned the win, it was still a low-scoring game for all the Dragons. Beck and Quintana had three points while Chris Bieber, Goytia, Jeremy Loutensock, Erik Scharin and Austin Killin all added two each and Cavalcanti put up a free throw.
