'1 a Minute' live at the Peerless PDF Print E-mail

A second Fathom Event will be held at the Peerless Theatre in Holyoke Wednesday, Oct. 6.

“1 a Minute live Supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure” will be shown as part of the newly incorporated Fathom Events at the Peerless Theatre. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the show beginning promptly at 6 p.m.

The event will begin with an introduction by the live celebrity studded panel followed by the feature “1 a Minute.”

The show is a docu-drama that details a woman’s breast cancer journey through diagnosis and the various stages of treatment and emotions. Several well-known celebrity cancer survivors are featured in segments of the docu-drama to share their own personal stories at key phases of diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

After the feature, the live panel will discuss the issues facing women with breast cancer and what is being done by Susan G. Komen for the Cure to support them.

The celebrity panel will include writer, director and producer Namrata Singh Gujral and many of the following celebrities featured in “1 a Minute:” Olivia Newton-John, William Baldwin, Jaclyn Smith, Daniel Baldwin, Melissa Ethridge and Diahann Carroll.

The in-theatre event is in recognition of the efforts and many medical advancements made through 30 years of philanthropic efforts of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer charity.

After the “1 a Minute” feature, a star studded celebrity and professional panel will celebrate and share the latest updates in the many advances that have been made in fighting the deadly disease.
