|Two big wins start season off right for Lady Dragons|

HHS Lady Dragon basketball girls started their season off with style, winning big over both Haxtun and Idalia in home-court action Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3-4.
Coach Arlan Scholl said overall it was a very successful weekend for the team. “I was very pleased with the effort shown by the girls in all of our games on Friday and Saturday.”
He noted the season’s emphasis is on rebounding, and the girls met their goal of out-rebounding the opponent in both of the varsity games.
“We played good solid defense and created many turnovers by the opposing team,” said Scholl.
One thing the Dragons can work on is their shooting, which is not quite up to the level it needs to be, said Scholl, but he is sure that with some time and practice, they will improve.
“We look forward to getting back on the court against Yuma this coming weekend,” he said.
