|Service sale successful|
|Written by Holyoke Enterprise|
Success was reported when HHS Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and FFA held their annual service sale and rocky mountain oyster fry Thursday, March 31.
Profits were up about $50 compared to last year’s sale.
Total income on the meal and sale was $7,372, with FFA earning $2,565 profit and FCCLA earning $3,670.
FFA sold 20 members at an average of $120, with Trae McCallum being the top seller at $210. FCCLA sold 27 members at an average of $133, with Erin Vieselmeyer being top seller at $220.
Organizers noted they didn’t lose money on the meal as is the usual. A slight profit of $90 was earned, due primarily to the donation of beef by Holyoke Marketplace.
FCCLA and FFA members expressed sincere appreciation for the support received. The money from this fund raiser allows students to attend leadership training conferences.
