|Raceway season opens|

Racing fans, it’s time to gear up for another season! Cars on the Phillips County Raceway will rev their engines for the start of the 2009 season Sunday, May 24 for a 6 p.m. start time.
Due to a recent track reduction, stock car races will look a little different this time around, with the former half-mile track having been converted to a 3/8 mile track.
IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Street Stocks and Hobby Stocks will start the season out Sunday, racing for the finish line at the Phillips County Fairgrounds.
Sunday opens an exciting season that stretches until Sept. 20, the last race of the season for Phillips County Raceway.
Other racing dates have been set as follows:
Sunday, June 7, 6 p.m.; Sunday, June 28, 6 p.m.; Saturday, July 4, 7 p.m.; Friday, July 24, 7 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 30, 6 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 6, 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 20, 6 p.m.
