Churches in Holyoke and the surrounding area will celebrate the holiday season with special services both Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24 and Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25.

Fairfield Covenant Church, located north of Paoli, will host a Swedish Julotta service at 7 a.m. Christmas morning followed by breakfast.

First Baptist Church of Holyoke will have a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m.

First Christian Church will meet at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

First United Methodist Church is planning a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.

Holyoke Assembly of God will have a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.

At Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, a Christmas Eve candlelight service is scheduled for 3 p.m.

St. Patrick Catholic Church’s Christmas Eve Mass is at 11:30 p.m., preceded by 30 minutes of Christmas carols. Christmas Day services begin at 9 a.m.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Amherst is planning a Christmas Eve program at 6:30 p.m. A Christmas Day service is at 9 a.m.

At St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Venango, Neb., their Christmas Eve service is at 4:30 p.m.

Venango Community Church in Nebraska will meet at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Zion Lutheran Church has scheduled a candlelight service at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve and a Christmas Day service at 9 a.m.
