    Senior Buckley Bombers baseball team members dropped their fifth game of the season, losing it to Ogallala, Neb. on the opponent’s diamond, 3-2, on Wednesday, June 17.
    Players then traveled to Fort Morgan on Thursday, June 18 for doubleheader action. They lost the first game 4-2, then won the second, 10-3, giving them a 7-6 record on the year so far.
    In Ogallala, the Bombers had a hard time connecting with the ball, hitting only four during the six-inning game. Kendall Kroeger of Haxtun was two for three at bat, and Brandon Price of Holyoke hit one for an RBI.
    Zach Hansen got the loss on the mound, throwing five innings and giving up three runs. He had five strikeouts, five bases on balls and seven hits. Logan Krueger of Holyoke pitched a scoreless sixth.
    In Fort Morgan on Thursday, Austin Tharp of Holyoke took the loss in the first game, giving up no earned runs in six innings. He also had three strikeouts and five hits, including a home run.
    At bat however, the Bombers hit only three balls and struck out 17 times against Fort Morgan’s ACE Arturo Maltos. Krueger and Kroeger each had one hit, as did Koby Ault.
    In the second game, the Bombers had better luck at the plate, and connected with the ball 12 times. Hansen was 3-5 with a double and four RBIs, while Tharp was 2-5 with a double and three RBIs. Matt Ramirez was 4-5 with one RBI and Krueger hit a double.
    Price earned the win on the mound in the second game. He had six strikeouts, eight hits and three earned runs.
    Senior Buckley Bombers were also scheduled to play in Scottsbluff, Neb. on Tuesday, June 23. They then return to the home field in Chappell for games on Wednesday, June 24 against Sidney, Neb., Thursday, June 25 versus Hershland, Neb. and Sunday, June 28 against Sterling. On Wednesday, July 1, they hit the road again, this time playing in Sidney, Neb.
