The Colorado Bombers won 4-3 over Scottsbluff, Neb. on Sunday, June 21, on the Ovid field.
It was a big win, as the Scottsbluff team is a Class A1 team and the Bombers are a Class B team in the Nebraska Men’s Baseball Association. The Colorado Bombers are composed of young men who are from various towns in Northeastern Colorado. There are players from Holyoke, Haxtun, Peetz and Revere.
Lance Woltemath scored three runs, and Cameron Ham had a big RBI double to lead the way. Tyler Swanson picked up the win, and Zach Krueger pitched a perfect eighth and ninth inning to get the save.
The Bombers have a 7-0 record with two wins over Rapid City, S.D. and have won all of their league games. The teams in their league are Imperial, Sidney and Kimball, Neb.
The Bombers hope to qualify for the state tournament in Eastern Nebraska this summer.
