|HHS students aim to raise awareness of hunger issues|

The Holyoke FCCLA chapter and the 21st Century Skills class have recently partnered to create a hunger awareness project called “Recipe for Success: Fighting Hunger with Appetite.”
This project’s goal is to raise funds and awareness for hunger throughout the U.S. Spearheaded by HHS seniors Brenda Hernandez and Malena McWilliams and sophomores Alex Yanez and Kaely Zilla, the group was inspired to create the project when they learned that 1 in 6 children go hungry in the United States. They came up with a unique fundraiser, which includes publishing and selling a community cookbook.
