Nelson leads Dragon golfers at Kurtis Huss Memorial Inv. PDF Print E-mail

HHS junior Xander Nelson once again led the Dragon golfers by turning in the varsity team’s low score of 96 in the Kurtis Huss Memorial Holyoke Invitational Thursday, Aug. 21.

Brush won the varsity tourney with a 256, followed by Holyoke with 296, Yuma 302 and Burlington 326.

In addition to Nelson, Dragon varsity golfers were Devin Wilbur, who shot a 99, Tristan Sullivan 101 and Kaleb Anderson 102.

Nelson finished fourth in individual standings, with the top three golfers for the day being from Brush. Zane Pfau shot an 80, while fellow Beetdiggers Noah Lechman and Noah Reid carded 88s. Yuma’s Hadden Wilkins rounded out the medalists with a 98.
