Madelon Hoffman - February 24, 2011
Madelon Naomi Hoffman, 71, of Julesburg, was born in Limon June 27, 1939. She died and went to meet the Savior Feb. 24, 2011.
Madelon attended Fort Lupton High School and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Master of Education degree. She taught elementary students for 21 years.
Madelon enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed music and played the organ and performed in the bell choir at church.
Madelon is survived by her husband, Roger Hoffman of Julesburg; daughter, Barb Hoffman of Julesburg; son, Marc Hoffman of Kearney, Neb.; sister, Valeta Bagwell of Thornton; and brothers, Johann Pfeiffer of Newport News, Va. and Jonathan Pfeif-fer of Eaton.
Funeral services were held, March 1 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke with Pastor Gary Rahe officiating. Burial was held the same day at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Madelon’s name to Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141.
Austin-Tennant Funeral Home in Julesburg was in charge of arrangements.
