Lois Shank - January 30, 2012
She married Earl Shank, a WWII Navy veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor, on April 7, 1947. They operated the Santa Fe Tavern in Granada for several decades and raised their three children. She was an avid bowler and formed her own bowling team.
After moving to Aurora, Lois began working for Citicorp Diners Club. Due to a job transfer, they later relocated to Las Vegas and lived there until Earl’s death in 1994. Lois then returned to Colorado to be near family and made her home in Holyoke.
Lois loved to do crossword puzzles and spend time with family and friends. She was a very sweet lady, liked by all, and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Shank, on Oct. 16, 1994.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Boman and husband Howard and JoDell Huseby and husband Lester; son, Bob Shank and wife Joni; and grandchildren, Stacy Boman, LeAnn Boman and Ryan Huseby.
Services were held Feb. 3 at Northglenn United Methodist Church. Burial was at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
