Elmer Dalton - January 29, 2012

Elmer D. Dalton died and went to be with the Lord on Jan. 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 3, 1938 in Bennett.

As a master mechanic and owner of Elmer’s Truck and Engine Service, he worked side by side with his son Ronald until retiring in 1997. Elmer belonged to two late-model racing associations and the Northern Colorado Antique Tractor Pullers Association.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence “Junior” Dalton; stepfather, W.H. Milholland; and two stepbrothers, Donald Milholland and Billie Milholland.

He is survived by his children, Leila Berger, Cheryl Dalton-Cedillo and Ronald Dalton; two sons-in-law; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Juanita Milholland; siblings, Dottie Carr, Mary White, Gary Dalton, Gracie Manning and Carol Whittle; and stepsiblings, Ila Parker, Betty McBee, Norma Ogden, Judy Budd and Allen Milholland.
