A Prussman family harvest is pictured. Asmus Prussman, one of seven children, was born in 1863 and married Ellen Sipes in 1889. Their son, William, was born in 1896. In 1911, William climbed Pike’s Peak with his father and sister, and they decided to move to Colorado. They arranged to take over the land and home of Scott Evans, which was located 7 miles northeast of Holyoke, in 1916. They planted their first crop in 1917. — Source: Phillips County Museum
